The brief
Hartley & Vale is a two-person joinery workshop in North Yorkshire, making fitted kitchens, staircases, and bespoke storage for homeowners and small building firms. Work comes almost entirely from word of mouth and a Facebook page. There's nowhere to send a serious enquiry to see finished work, understand how pricing works, or get a sense of what a project actually involves before picking up the phone.
What Citriverse built
A content-managed brochure site with a handful of pages doing real work:
- A home page leading with a small set of standout jobs, not a generic stock-photo workshop
- Portfolio pages grouped by the kind of work — kitchens, staircases, fitted storage — so a visitor can find something close to what they want
- A "How a job runs" page walking through survey, quote, build, and fit, so people know roughly what to expect before they enquire
- A quote request form asking for room type, a rough budget band, and space to attach photos, so the first reply back can be genuinely useful rather than "could you send a few more details?"
Everything except the enquiry form is content-managed, so new finished jobs can be added to the portfolio through a simple content editor, without touching any code or waiting on a developer.
Why it's built this way
The whole site is statically generated at build time. There's no database to keep patched, no admin login to secure, and pages arrive at the browser already rendered, which keeps things quick even on a patchy mobile signal on a building site. That combination — content-managed, but with nothing left running that needs ongoing security attention — is a large part of what the Launch package is for.
About this case study
Hartley & Vale Joinery is a concept build, not a real client. Citriverse is a new studio, and this case study exists to show how the Launch package would actually be scoped and built for a business like this one — it isn't a paid engagement, and no such firm has commissioned this work. Any resemblance to a real joinery business is coincidental.
